Why we built BSUREE, how we make money, and what we mean by “independent.”
The problem we're trying to solve
Almost every insurance website says “Buy Insurance.” We think the better first message is: don't buy insurance until you understand what you actually need.
Today, most people either ask an agent (who earns commission on what they sell you), ask friends and family (well-meaning, but not expert), or search online and end up overwhelmed by conflicting information. None of these give you advice built purely around your situation.
We believe insurance advice should serve families, not sales targets. BSUREE is an independent insurance education and decision-support platform — we help you understand your risks, compare options in plain language, and prepare to make a confident, informed decision.
Broker vs advisor — and why the difference matters
A broker's business model depends on selling policies. An advisor's job is to help you make a good decision, whether or not that decision involves buying something from us at all. We've deliberately built BSUREE around the second model — our long-term goal is for consultation and advisory work to be our primary income, not commissions tied to any one insurer.

The BSUREE Advisory Team
BSUREE is run by a small team focused on independent insurance education for families in Kerala and Tamil Nadu, with AI-assisted research supporting (never replacing) a human review of every recommendation we send. As we grow, we intend to publish full advisor profiles, qualifications and specific track records here — for now, treat this as an early-stage, honestly-run platform, and judge us on the quality and independence of the advice itself.
How BSUREE is compensated
We want this to be completely clear, not buried in fine print:
- Our primary intended income is consultation and advisory fees — paid by you, for specific services like a detailed recommendation report or policy review.
- Where regulations in a given market allow it, we may also partner with licensed insurers or brokers who pay us a referral fee if you choose to purchase through them. This never changes the price you pay.
- We will always tell you clearly when a referral relationship exists for a specific recommendation.
- We do not underwrite or sell insurance policies ourselves — we are an education and decision-support platform, not an insurer or a licensed broker, unless and until we hold the appropriate licenses in a given market.
